Perfect hunting tripod for glassing and improvised shooting positions in the field. Easy to pack and light weight. I don't go in the field without it. Looking forward to getting a bigger one for my precision rifle.

5 Great glassing tripod
Posted by Jason on Dec 20th 2021
I purchased the No Name JR shortly before the Kansas rifle deer season. I chose this tripod because of the many recommendations I received on various Facebook hunting groups. I used it every day of my hunt and I am very happy with my purchase. The No Name JR is light, easy and quite to set up, very adjustable, solid... It did everything i needed it to do and at a very good price.

5 Disappointed..that I waited so long to buy one!

Received my “No Name Jr.” in the mail recently and was tremendously impressed in the craftsmanship. It’s rugged, extremely rigid, lightweight, and I can not stress enough how great of a value.
I am thoroughly convinced that this is the absolute best value in tripods in the ENTIRE market. For around $200 you receive your tripod, a bag, your center post (if needed), and spiked feet along with rubber feet (installed), a hex key set for maintenance/mounting accessories and some awesome customer service from the owner.
I mounted a sirui VA-5 fluid head to my tripod and it’s performing flawlessly. I cannot wait to get an ARCA mounted rifle brace so that I can shoot off of this tripod as well.
My only complaint, I’m incredible disappointed that it took me so long to dive in. I should’ve had this tripod in my hunting kit years and years ago. -

Just bought this tripod mostly for glassing and self filming hunts with. The thing is so light it doesn’t even feel real. I already know it is going to be perfect for taking on long walk in hunts where you want to go in as light as possible (hoping you will be carrying out a couple hundred pounds of venison On the way out). I did mount my larger rifle to it and take a few shots and it performed flawlessly for that too! This isn’t a tripod you want to shoot with standing fully extended, because the center stem would have to be in to get the right height, but sitting or laying prone it is a solid choice. Perfect for spotting scopes or longer range 12x-15x binos.

Bought this tripod to use for predator hunting, glassing on backcountry mule deer hunts and photography and love it Ive used multiple different brands of tripods carbon fiber and aluminum for shooting off of while predator hunting the No Name Jr is my favorite it checks off every box super sturdy and stable while also being very light and compact highly recommend it I was looking for one tripod that I could use for everything and this one is it no more different tripods for different applications this one covers all the bases
